Boat monitoring, custom sensors, onboard computer systems, and installer partnerships
Boat Monitoring & Alerts
Know what's happening on your boat at all times — whether you're onboard, at the dock, or on the other side of the world. We install sensors and dashboards that show your boat's vitals with instant alerts when something needs attention.
Dashboards:
- Real-time dashboards accessible from any device — customized views for different needs
- Quick-glance summary, detailed electrical panel, engine health, or full system overview
Navigation:
- Chart plotting with real-time position, heading, and course data
- AIS traffic — see other vessels around you
- Waypoint and route management
- Anchor watch with drift alerts
Alerts & Automation:
- Notifications on your phone and onboard devices when something needs attention
- Set thresholds, escalation rules, and automated responses — not just alerts, but actions
Historical Data & Trends:
- Every sensor logs continuously — track patterns over days, weeks, or months
- Identify developing problems before they become failures — a bilge pump running more often, batteries holding less charge, engine temperatures creeping up
AI-Assisted Diagnostics:
- We connect your preferred AI — Claude, ChatGPT, or others — directly to your vessel's sensor data. Open a conversation on your phone or computer and ask about your boat in plain English — "How is my boat doing?" — and get real answers drawn from live and historical data.
Connectivity:
- Works onboard over WiFi
- Remote access via marina WiFi, cellular, or Starlink
- We help set up the connectivity your situation requires
Custom Sensors & Displays
The same wireless technology in everyday electronics now works on boats. Small, capable sensor boards connect over WiFi, run on battery or boat power, and feed data right into your onboard system alongside your existing instruments. That means we can build sensors that fill the gaps in your setup without replacing anything you already have. If your boat doesn't measure it yet, we can probably add it.
Sensor Categories:
- Engine & mechanical: Complete visibility into engine health — performance, temperatures, pressures, and fluid flow. Trend data catches problems developing long before they become failures.
- Electrical & power: Battery banks, solar, shore power, charging systems, generators, and individual circuits — monitoring and control. Digital switching for pumps, lighting, and load management from any device.
- Navigation & motion: Position, heading, speed, depth, wind, pitch, roll, and waypoint data. Bridge older instruments to modern displays or add sensing your boat doesn't have.
- Tanks & fluids: Levels, flow rates, consumption tracking, and fluid quality — across fuel, water, holding, and LPG systems. Water quality monitoring including TDS, pressure, and filtration status.
- Environmental & weather: Temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure across every space on the boat. Full weather station capability — wind, rainfall, UV, solar radiation, and dew point.
- Safety & security: Bilge water detection, pump monitoring, hatch and entry sensors, motion detection, smoke, fire, CO, CO2, air quality, gas detection, and particulate sensing. The systems that protect your boat and crew.
Custom Displays:
- Cabin & nav station: Touchscreens and monitors mounted below deck for charts, dashboards, and always-on system monitoring.
- Cockpit & helm: Sunlight-readable, weatherproof displays for permanent outdoor mounting — visible in direct sun and built for the marine environment.
- Wireless instruments: Self-contained, battery-powered displays that connect over WiFi. Mount anywhere on the boat with no wiring.
Custom Software:
- Sensor firmware tailored to your specific hardware and data requirements
- Display interfaces configured to show exactly what matters to you
- Automation rules — smart alerts, pump control sequences, threshold-based actions
Why Custom:
- Wireless data: Sensors transmit over WiFi — no signal cables to run, just power
- Versatile: Whatever you want to measure, there's a sensor for it. One device can carry several, so you get broad coverage without filling your boat with hardware.
- Tailored: Built for exactly what your boat needs, not a one-size-fits-all product
Who It's For:
- Boat owners who want to measure things their current equipment can't
- Anyone modernizing older onboard systems with wireless, expandable alternatives
- Cruisers who want redundant sensing on critical systems
- Boats that need sensors and displays built for specific spaces, systems, or use cases that nothing on the market covers
Marine Computer Systems
A complete onboard computer that ties everything together — navigation, monitoring, automation, and data logging in one system. We build, configure, and test the entire system matched to your boat's equipment — ready to use the day it's installed.
What You Get:
- Purpose-built marine computer with marine interface board, power management, and waterproof enclosure
- Full software stack installed and configured — open marine data platform, navigation, monitoring dashboards, automation, and data logging
- Interfaces matched to your equipment — connects to your existing electronics regardless of manufacturer, age, or protocol
- Fully tested and ready to install
Display Options:
A single computer can drive multiple displays simultaneously — and any device with a browser becomes a display over your boat's WiFi.
- Connected displays: Touchscreens and monitors mounted at a nav station or cabin — for chart plotting, instrument panels, or always-on dashboards
- Browser clients: Any phone, tablet, or laptop on your boat's WiFi — no wiring per device
- Headless: No display — the computer runs below deck and you access everything over WiFi or remotely
Delivery:
- Shipped to your location with remote support for installation
- On-site installation and commissioning in the San Diego area
Who It's For:
For boat owners who want an always-on system that runs 24/7 on boat power, logs every sensor continuously, unifies navigation and monitoring on one screen, and grows as they add sensors, displays, and capabilities over time.
For Marine Professionals
We build and configure the computer systems, sensors, and software. You handle the client relationship and physical installation. We provide remote support and training to get your team up to speed.
How It Works:
- You bring the client and handle physical installation
- We build and configure the system matched to the client's equipment
- You maintain the client relationship — we stay behind the scenes
- Flexible arrangements based on project scope
What We Provide:
- Pre-configured marine computer systems ready for installation
