Who We Are

VesselSense is a San Diego-based marine systems integration business. We build onboard computer systems, design custom sensors, connect your existing marine electronics into one system, and set up monitoring and alerts so you always know what's happening on your boat.

Most boats have electronics from multiple manufacturers that don't communicate. Garmin can't talk to Victron. Legacy NMEA 0183 instruments can't send data to modern displays. Proprietary monitoring platforms only show you what the manufacturer decided to include — in the format they chose, with no way to pull it all together or build the views you actually need. We solve these problems with open-source platforms that make everything work together.

Why San Diego

San Diego has one of the largest recreational boating communities in the United States, with over 30 marinas and thousands of vessels — from Harbor Island and Shelter Island to Point Loma, Coronado, and Mission Bay. We serve San Diego County boat owners, from weekend sailors to full-time liveaboards, as well as commercial marine operations.

Our local presence means we're available for dock visits, on-site commissioning, and hands-on support when you need it.
